Smile While Looking Back

Aran Island (Inis Mor)

"Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire'' (Ali Imran:191)*

Alhamdulillah. It has been a year since I enroll medical school in UCC, Ireland. This time last year I was still indecisive on where and which university I wanted to pursue my study. Looking back, I only manage to carve a smile on things that I've been through on this journey. Surely, I am nothing without Him. Thank you Allah. I'm starting to see the blessings in disguise. :)

A year had passed and currently I'm at the junction of the road. I don't want to come back but want to go further. Biizinillah I'll pass it through..

*My friend shared this prayer when we went for jaulah last time :) So lets recite it especially when seeing His beautiful creation

Repost - Travelogue: Jabal Rumat, Medina

A repost from my facebook :)

Read It All About It

Read it all about- Emeli Sande

This is my current favourite song. I rarely listen to music, but the lyrics of this song just catch my attention.

You've got the words to change a nation
but you're biting your tongue
You've spent a life time stuck in silence
afraid you'll say something wrong
If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song
So come on ,come on
Come on, come on
You've got a heart as loud as lions
So why let your voice be tamed?
Baby we're a little different
there's no need to be ashamed
You've got the light to fight the shadows
so stop hiding it away
Come on, Come on

Meaningful, isn't?

Denial and Exam

Yesterday, my foster sister back in Indonesia contacted me. It has been a long time, really. I went there for humanity project on 2011 and we just updated each other once or twice only since our last meeting. I just knew she quit her school because of financial problems. I couldn't help from crying knowing that some people are struggling just to study.

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
-Ar-rahman-

I admit that I sometimes complained that studying medicine is difficult, especially when you need to go through a thousand page lectures notes for just a module, classes from 9 to 5, etc. But what do I get from complaining? Nothing. So just look at the bright side. Anyway, there're only 2 weeks away before I sat for my final exam. The feeling is all mixed up. I'm scared for sure, but inshaAllah I will make it.

Stay focus and stay strong.

A Cup of Tea

For tea-lovers, sipping tea is a blast. It calms one's mind and body. Same goes to Iman, it calms.

No one will know the sweetness of the tea except those who drink it. Same goes to Iman, Halawatul iman can only be felt for those who embraced  it.

Tea can be a venom for those who're having constipation but a healing for people with diarrhea. Same goes to iman, jahiliyyah, taghut, etc can be the venom.

Who ever thoughts that a mere green leave can produce this delicious yet invigorating drink. Same with Iman & Islam, we humans can be no one, but with them, we are somebody. Not because we're great but Islam is the greatest.

To enhance the taste of tea, we put sugar and milk into the tea. Same goes to Iman, it should be enhanced with knowledge and understanding, etc too.

p/s: It's just my own comparisons, which might be wrong.
