A Cup of Tea

For tea-lovers, sipping tea is a blast. It calms one's mind and body. Same goes to Iman, it calms.

No one will know the sweetness of the tea except those who drink it. Same goes to Iman, Halawatul iman can only be felt for those who embraced  it.

Tea can be a venom for those who're having constipation but a healing for people with diarrhea. Same goes to iman, jahiliyyah, taghut, etc can be the venom.

Who ever thoughts that a mere green leave can produce this delicious yet invigorating drink. Same with Iman & Islam, we humans can be no one, but with them, we are somebody. Not because we're great but Islam is the greatest.

To enhance the taste of tea, we put sugar and milk into the tea. Same goes to Iman, it should be enhanced with knowledge and understanding, etc too.

p/s: It's just my own comparisons, which might be wrong.

A few words

It has been a while, I didn't write anything here. Everything happens too fast, which I do not realize it. Oh time.. I wrote a few post actually but as usual, it ended up as drafts. Anyway, I'm going to sit for my final exam soon. Allahumma yusahhil. Pray for me dear readers :)

by sharing a very owesome lectures, by my favourite scholar, Nouman Ali Khan.

The Magic Number: Of Being 20!

I'm finally 20. It's not something to be proud of. Not at all. Being a 20 makes me wondering on the past events and on what I've done over the last 20 years. At 19, Al-Fateh'd already taken over the thrown and by 21, he managed to conquest Constantinople. Still, alhamdulillah for the countless ni'mah that I received every single day; the oxygen, the food, the lovely people and much much more, which I could never count.

Oh yeah, this random thought hit me recently,
"Atikah, you're (almost) 20 and it means you're a lady now! So, act like one. Please be more matured."

With love,
Atikah

Take Them Back

Exam mode is in the air and I have this uneasy feeling. Not because of the exam but something else. That 'something' makes me to lose focus. Dush! Breaking the attachment; to people, dunya, etc is not an easy task to do but that's where mujahadah came.

Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured.(13:28)

This world cannot break you-unless you give it permission. And it cannot own you unless you hand it he keys-unless you give it your heart. And so if you have handed those keys to dunya for a while- take them back. Reclaim your heart.
-Yasmin Mogahed-

Keep your focus, dear Atikah! That's not where the story ends. That's where it begins.

p/s: The sentences and paragraphs are not chronologically related, which shows my messy thoughts..
